Source status matters. Current FAA AME/HIMS AME and FAA Aviation Psychologist/Neuropsychologist listings are labeled as official sources. For psychiatrists, Compass preserves the FAA-derived May 5, 2025 roster as a historical source and supplements it with clinicians whose current aviation-psychiatry work can be independently verified from live provider, practice, institutional, or other authoritative public sources. HIMS status is shown separately as current public verification, FAA May 2025 historical roster, HIMS-trained / FAA listing pending, or provider states not HIMS. Because the FAA does not currently expose a public named psychiatrist roster alongside its HIMS AME directory, historical FAA roster status does not establish that a psychiatrist remains currently HIMS-qualified. The current FAA terminology “Aviation Neuropsychologist” replaced the older “HIMS Neuropsychologist” label, so those are not treated as separate directory categories.
